Bennys Pizza Joint
About This Spot
Nestled in the heart of Monroe, Bennys Pizza Joint offers a welcoming, unpretentious vibe that makes you feel right at home from the moment you step inside. It’s the kind of spot where the pace slows just enough to let you sink into casual conversation, the buzz of the kitchen mingling with friendly chatter and the clink of glasses. The warm lighting and laid-back setting invite diners to linger, whether they’re sharing a slice with friends or settling in for a relaxed dinner.
What sets Bennys apart isn’t just its inviting atmosphere but the way the menu reflects a playful, inventive spirit without losing touch with classic comforts. The aroma of freshly baked pizza — from familiar favorites to more adventurous combos — floats through the air, inviting you to try a bite of something unexpected or simply savor a perfectly crisp slice. Beyond pizza, there's a surprisingly robust salad bar that nods to old-school neighborhood joints, bursting with fresh, thoughtfully chosen ingredients that balance the heartier flavors on offer. And if you find yourself craving a little something on the side, the kitchen’s take on bar snacks—think jalapeño poppers, mini corn dogs, and hot wings—keeps the experience lively and plentiful.
There’s a genuine sense of care woven through the place, from the team eager to make you feel welcome to the way they accommodate little requests and tweaks without fuss. Bennys strikes a comforting balance between being a cherished local hangout and a destination worth a bit of a drive, where the food feels honest and the moments shared over it quietly memorable.

Amazing pizza. Order a regular pizza or by the slice. Will definitely come back again. Service was also great.

If your in Junction City, dont settle for Abbys. Just drive here its 10min up the road and the pizza is amazing. Definitely recommend bacon on your pizza and asking them to burn it a little. You can also get just mozzarella cheese like regular pizza places so just go ahead and order. 6/5 stars

Not only is the pizza the bomb, but you can order just a slice and they make it to order just like a full pizza! The other surprise was an actual fully loaded salad bar, (didn't even know those still existed, at least after covid). Only $6 for a one time through and $8 for all you can eat. Stocked with everything and we'll attended. Family owned and worth the drive! Great for a dinner for 2 or a large group. Kid friendly, handicap accessible and a separate attached lounge with a pool table.

I LOVE Bennys. Although - tonight I ordered to go- my daughter ordered 1 slice of cheese pizza- after getting home I realized it wasn’t with our order - called in they said they didn’t charge me for it NOT MY FAULT. Sadly on the first day of school my daughter had fries for dinner. Nothing said but “we didn’t charge you - would you like us to make you a piece and you can come back?” First sad experience. Maybe they should write the orders down.

This is some of the best pizza in Oregon. I'm fat. I've ate a lot of pizza all over the state. This is good stuff right here. It's just correct. It's correct. Pacific Northwest Pizza. It's not a Dave portnoy Pizza. It's not a burnt tortilla with a little bit of cheese on it. This is a correct Pizza. It has toppings if you want. It has flavor. The ingredients are quality. It's got the right amount of crunch. It's got the right amount of texture. It's got.. everything's just right okay. You can mess with the pizzas. You can get a half and half and mess with the ingredients. They're so nice, welcoming, warm, inviting, great little restaurant. Great little pizzeria. It's going to be hard not to stop by here every time I drive by. It's worth taking a little trip for. Not kidding at all.

We’ve driven through Monroe, Oregon several times and have always passed by Bennys Pizza Joint because we weren’t hungry. Yesterday we said, we’re hungry so let’s try Bennys. I’m so glad we did! We pulled into the spacious parking lot, which was also handicapped accessible. There were covered tables and chairs outside, but since we were ordering to go, we didn’t sit outside. Plenty of seating outside however. We walked up to the door and as soon as we entered, we could smell so many fresh items, as well as the pizzas cooking. Inside was beautiful with large seating areas and is also handicapped accessible(huge plus for me). There’s a pretty good sized, covered salad bar. I could see 2 choices for your main lettuce, spinach was in a tin under the cover, olives, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, Roma tomatoes, peppers, pickles, carrots(if I remember correctly), cottage cheese, fruit, bacon bits, sunflower seeds, walnuts, then your dressings. We made our salads while we waited for our pizza and breadsticks. We both received pretty large to go containers for our salads(in photos). By the time I was done filling my box, I could barely close it. When we got up to the counter we I first told the lady that we’re in the locked running car with the ac on with dogs in it(we could see my car and the pups from inside through the huge windows), if anyone asks. She then asked us if we called in an order, we said no, she asked if we knew what we wanted, we said no we’ve never been here before. She said, oh okay, welcome in and handed us 2 menus. There were so many different choices for pizzas. We did a 1/2 & 1/2, pepperoni and the other half Spinach, feta, artichoke hearts(extra artichoke hearts), olives and cheese(asked for thick or pan crust). We also ordered the cheesy breadsticks and since they didn’t have to go cups for drinks, we bought a bottle of Pepsi and a bottle of Dr. Pepper and the 2 salad bars. It took the lady a little bit to enter in our order and she apologized and said it was her 2nd day. I told her she didn’t have to apologize and told her I never even would’ve known and that she’s doing a great job(which she was). A lady(maybe the owner/manager)? Was helping her when she needed it and we were both greeted with a small town friendly smile(which was very nice as we’d never been there before)! There was a little arcade with a few games in it in a little room off to the left of the counter. The ladies restroom was very clean and supplied, with the exception of the toilet seat covers. When we were sitting watching my car and waiting for our order, I noticed they serve beer, wine and there’s a sign that says, now serving cocktails. When our order was complete, the lady that took our order, she brought it to our table all boxed up and smelling fantastic. We said our goodbyes and headed out. I say ladies, because they had no name tags on, nor gave us their names. When we arrived at our destination, we opened everything up, we were pleased with everything, with one minor exception. We asked for thick or pan crust and the crust was very thin. We didn’t mind because the pizza was so good. The sauce wasn’t overbearing, but was just the right amount and it complimented the other ingredients well. The pepperoni slices were huge, the artichoke hearts(and the extra) were really big as well and they didn’t skimp on the extra. All in all everything was great! Will definitely go back the next time we’re in the area!

From the minute I walked in I was greeted and great service until I left. Never waited. They have a nice salad bar. I had the spicy Hawaiian {no jalapenos} took some to go for my boyfriend and he likes it so much he had to say that is really good pizza more then once. Very nice and will definitely be going back. Also she said they do have gluten-free options.
